Cast Bio's


Brendan O' Carroll

Is a comedian, writer, actor and director
from Finglas, Dublin, Ireland.
Brendan O'Carroll was born 17th Sept  in 1955

in Dublin's North Inner City
and was the youngest of 11 children.
He left school aged 12 and had a string of occupations,
Much of his comedy is about his childhood in Finglas and Dublin City

Moore Street  Home  to Market  stalls
of some of the most  wonderful  women of Dublin,
it provided him  with colour, humor & love.

He has also written four films and nine comedy shows -

These include The Course (1995),
Grandad's Sure Lilly's Still Alive(1997),
                                                                                          The Last Wedding (1999),
Mourning Mrs Brown (2000),
Mrs Brown Rides Again (2004),
                                                                                               For the Love of Mrs. Brown (2007),
and How Now Mrs Brown Cow? (2009)
"Good Mourning Mrs Brown" (2011).

He has appeared in many movies and TV shows over the years
and has had parts in Max and Paddy's Road to Nowhere,
 The Royle Family,
Angela's Ashes (film),
Agnes Browne
alongside Anjelica Huston (for which he also wrote the screenplay)
And His Recent Movie - Mrs Brown's Boys D Movie ( 2013 )
Brendan has just recently been awarded " The Writer Guild Award 2014" , for his outstanding achievement in his work as a writer 
just recently Brendan was Honored to be Grand Marshall
for 2015 St Patrick Day Parade a very proud day for him & his family

He is a member of Mensa

Something we can say the man is a genius

Jennifer Gibney

Jennifer Gibney - Trained  with  the Dublin Oscar Theatre School,
She has done many stage roles
Her Film Roles includes -
'Some Mother's Son' 'Sparrow Trap' & Agnes  Browne
she has played in all the Mrs Brown's plays & dvd's
As a director  Jennifer  has directed Brendan's stand up  dvd
" How's Your Raspberry Ripples",
( which is very funny, & recommend )
Which won a Sony Gold  Disc
She Co - Produced with Brendan on  his Stand up DVD
She is Asst Director  on all of Brendan's plays
And co-directed all the Mrs Brown's DVD's
 as well as playing Cathy Brown in the Mrs Brown's Boys ,
Jenny married Brendan O Carroll
back in 2005

Fiona O' Carroll

Fiona O' Carroll plays the part of Maria Brown
in the hilarious TV Series Mrs. Browns Boys,
and is the daughter of Brendan O' Carroll,
writer and Creator.
Fiona was ten years old when she had a single in the charts

and was as they say ' bitten by the bug'.
From an early age

Fiona knew she wanted to perform,
and has done so in many productions over the years
including the film "Sparrows Trap",
which was written and directed by Brendan O'Carroll.
After studying film direction & production in Dublin,

she was then given the opportunity to play the part of Maria Brown.
Fiona has been Maria Brown on stage, TV, and in all of the Mrs. Brown DVD's for the past eleven years,

and has loved every minute. 
Fiona has three sons, whom she adores
& soon to be a Mother again in Sept 2015
and is happily married to Producer Martin Delany,
also known as Corny in the Mrs. Browns Boys DVD Boxset.
Martin plays ' Trevor' Agnes Son  in the TV Series  of Mrs Brown's Boys  & Mick the Dick' in Good Mourning Mrs. Brown Tour 2011

GARY HOLLYWOOD

Gary Hollywood started acting at the ripe age of 12 
when he won over viewers in his performance of Scottish Televisions
police drama Taggart "Gingerbread".

He then went onto do various TV shows

some of which include,
Doctor Finlay, Crime Limited, Down To Earth, to name a few
but it was Scottish Televisions soap opera "Take The High Road"
that was to make him a household name.

Gary's film credits include "The Boyhood of John Muir"

where he played the title role for PBS in the states,
"The Winter Guest" where he played alongside Oscar winning actress
Emma Thompson and directed by Alan Rickman,
"The Flying Scotsman" with Johnny Lee Miller and Brian Cox
and most recently Peter Mullen's acclaimed "Neds".

He has worked extensively in the world of theater over his 19 years

but it was whilst working in Brendan's  theater productions
of "Mrs Brown's" trilogy  that Gary  has returned to our TV screens to play the part of Dino Doyle in the BAFTA nominated 
"Mrs Brown's Boys" TV series for BBC 1.

Eilish O' Carroll

Sister of Brendan O' Carroll,
Eilish has done 10 years with a Drama Group in Surrey England ,
Preforming  in many productions,
Eilish returned to Ireland to take part in  " The Sparrows Trap"
Written & Directed  By her Brother  Brendan O' Carroll
She  joined  Mrs Brown's Boys in 1999, & has played many roles -
Includes  - Winnie McGoogan, Mrs Nicholson & Dr Flynn,
But she  is best know for her role As Winnie McGoogan

Best Friend & Neighbor Of Agnes Brown
Eilish has also  written & is performing  her  very own One Woman Show -    " Live Love Laugh " ,which  was a sell out in  Ireland  & the  Edinburgh Fringe  Festival 2012 & 2013 , a story of her life  ( Comedy style )
One of the Top 10 Shows with a 5 star rating  at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2013
She is toured with her one woman show around Ireland at the beginning of 2015 & hopefully in the near future UK ,while not in recording & tours with Mrs Brown's Boys

PADDY HOULIHAN

Paddy  first joined the company 10 yrs ago , paddy first joined  to play  Ben Wilson  in the Highly acclaimed " The Course " and later that year  was adopted into the Brown  Family, where  he embraced the role of Agnes wayward son Dermot , Paddy  is a intergral  part of the Brown  clan
Paddy recently got  Married ( July 2013) to the lovely  Emily Regan  aka Barbara  who works along side Rory & Dino in Wash & Blow Salon There Due Twins Babies  In July 2015

Amanda Woods
Born in Letterkenny Co. Donegal,   Brendan first spotted Amanda back in 2000 in a production she was in ,  Amanda was invited to join  the company  & has been in every  production of Mrs Brown's series , She is also married to  Danny O' Carroll who plays Buster Brady, & plays the role of Betty Brown , Agnes daughter in law,  Danny & Amanda  have two  sons, Jamie who plays Bono in the TV series  & their youngest son Blake who im sure will be a star with his Parents & Brother  Jamie

Dermot " Bugsy " O'Neil
Bugsy has been with Brendan for over 20 years, he is the only actor ever to play Grandad Brown
Bugsy  was also nominated  for his role  as Grandad for Outstanding Actor  in a Comedy  Role  at  2011  Monte Carlo Television  Festival Awards.

Dermot got Married at the end of March 2012 .

Pat "Pepsi" Shields
An accomplished Musician & Singer, Pepsi joined Brendan  firstly  for the Radio Drama " Mrs Brown's Boys" & also provided  his vocal talent on radio , Pepsi rejoined  Brendan  on stage  in "The Course" & then  in Mrs Brown's Boys Series  for plays  most recently  as the character "Father  Quinn " & also  played Rory  in the Mrs Brown's plays  But is best known for his role as Mark Brown , the good son in the Brown Family

 Rory Cowan
Rory has been with Brendan since 1991, Prior to joining  Mrs Brown's Boys  he was  the Sales & marketing  Manager with EMI Records in Ireland , He is now Managing  Director of BOC Productions , Rory  plays Rory Brown, Rory has played the character since  Mrs Brown hit the  airwaves back in 1992
Rory  is in Panto in Dublin during the Christmas Season ( 2014-2015 ) playing the part of Barbie one of the ugly sisters  in Cinderella at the Trivoli Theatre

Danny O' Carroll
Danny has been lucky so far to have already  had great movies under his belt including  " Angela's Ashes  & Though the Sky  Falls "  Danny started in Mrs Brown's Boys as a small walking part  but graduated to Buster Brady  & brings a new  level  of excellence to his role , Danny is  Brendan O' Carroll's  son ,  & is Married to Amanda Woods who  plays  Betty Brown in Mrs Brown's Boys ,  &  his  oldest son Jamie takes the part of Bono  in the TV Series While on holiday in Florida with his family  early January 2012  Danny became  a local Hero,  when he  saved a local  guy's life  from drowning, not only a great actor but also a great guy too .
